Sentencing in Murder Cold Case in Montgomery

A man is sentenced for a murder that happened in Montgomery more than 30 years ago.

Willie Wilson junior pled guilty to the murder of Connie Gantt and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

 

Gantt was murdered in March 1979 off Beardsley Drive.

 

Records show she was taken from her car outside Embers Lounge restaurant off Atlanta Highway.

 

The case went cold until there was a match on Wilson’s DNA to DNA found on Gantt’s clothes.

 

Wilson’s DNA was in the system for a 1980 conviction where he kidnapped, robbed and assaulted a victim.
